AGM

A notice has been sent out via the post to all players and rookies, regrding the AGM. This is what the document entails:

Dear

You are hereby invited to the Plymouth Admirals Annual General Meeting being held at the YMCA Kitto Centre, Honicknowle Lane, Plymouth, PL5 3NG.

The meeting will be held on Sunday 25TH January 2009 starting from Midday so please arrive by 11:45am.

The AGM is possibly the most important event of the year as we discuss the successes and failings of the previous season, elect the new committee and propose any changes as to how the club is run.

This year in particular is VERY important as the players, supporters and associates of the Admirals will be voting in a new Head Coach and the finalists for the position will each present their reasoning as to why they should be Head Coach for the 2009 season.

Attendance for this meeting is mandatory for all those involved with or playing for the Admirals so please contact me on 07767 033265 to confirm/excuse your attendance (Txt message is acceptable).

 General Manager
 Subscriptions Treasurer (Reporting to the GM at the end of each session)
 Secretary
 Merchandise Representative
 Media Representative
 Games Day Manager
 Sponsorship Secretary
 Social Secretary
 Kit/Equipment Officer
 Medical/Safety Officer
 Players Representative
Note: No title in this list (Excepting General Manager, Club Secretary and Treasurer) has a higher rank within the Admirals than the other, no job is more important than the other but all must be fulfilled to the best of your abilities)

The following people have asked to be nominated for the following positions:

Carrie Saunders Sponsorship Secretary
Note: This does not mean that you cannot put yourself forward for these positions; these people have nominated themselves and will still need to be voted in by the other members etc.



I would like to offer my personal apologies to any Blitz players or coaching staff that will not be able to attend as they have a game on that day but would like to stress that this was the only day that was viable and if there is anything that you wish to be raised at the AGM then please email me at plymouthadmirals@hotmail.co.uk and I will ensure that your views are put forward at the meeting. If you would like to put a vote in for the Head Coach candidates then these will be announced after the closing date of 16th Jan and I will enter your vote accordingly. Also if you would like to nominate yourself for any of the club roles or help in any way please email me and put yourself forward and I will ensure that this is is entered too. Apologies for the inconvenience again, this was not intentional.


Minutes will be taken at the meeting and will be available for all to download from the website or can be requested by post after the event.

Hey Paula, i might not be able to attend the agm meeting cos of i got working time that are basically out of my hands i got the next 2 sunday's on, if i can really persuade, i cud get 1 off, so which one is best to go to--- the agm meeting, or rookie camp? cos i reli hate to feel like i aint committing to the team, cos i wana, jst that i wont be able to get the days off for both events

I cant decide that one for you but if it was me then i would go to the AGM
